How Districts Implement My Influence Matters
MiM works because it aligns the people already doing the work.
Implementation occurs across three core groups, supported by training and sustainability structures.
1
Staff Engagement & Culture Alignment
Staff receive:
- Shared influence-based language
- Training that supports clarity without micromanagement
- Tools that reinforce consistency across settings
- A framework that reduces reactive discipline
MiM removes friction rather than adding responsibility.
2
Student Leadership & Peer Influence
Students are developed as MiM Student Ambassadors who:
- Understand their influence
- Model positive leadership
- Lead peer-to-peer culture
- Reinforce shared expectations
Leadership is practiced, not assigned.
3
Family & Community Engagement
Families are engaged through:
- Clear, accessible language
- Practical tools aligned with school expectations
- Consistent messaging across school and home
Engagement becomes shared rather than fragmented.
4
Training for Sustainable Implementation
MiM includes online training modules that:
- Support onboarding of new staff
- Maintain consistency year over year
- Reduce reliance on external facilitators
- Protect institutional knowledge
The system is designed to outlast turnover.
School-Wide Activation:
The My Influence Matters Pledge
One optional activation within the system is the My Influence Matters Pledge.
The pledge is a school-wide experience that provides a shared moment for students, staff, and families to commit to intentional influence, pride, and purpose.
